Furniture Safety, Assembly & Care Policy

Before Assembly
Inspect all furniture components, surfaces, glass, hardware, and packaging before beginning assembly.
Confirm that:

The product is the correct item;

All required parts are present;

There is no visible shipping damage;

The dimensions are suitable for the intended space;

The floor or mounting surface is appropriate.
If a component is damaged, missing, or incorrect, stop assembly and contact info@brighthavensupply.com with photographs and your order number.
Assembly Instructions
Furniture must be assembled according to the supplied instructions.
Use the correct tools and do not overtighten screws, bolts, or fittings. Incorrect assembly can damage the product or make it unstable.
If you are uncertain about assembly, wall mounting, electrical components, or structural safety, use a qualified professional.
Anti-Tip Safety
Dressers, cabinets, shelves, bookcases, and other furniture capable of tipping should be secured using the supplied or recommended anti-tip hardware.
Wall anchors must be suitable for the wall material. Standard hardware may not be appropriate for every wall type.
Children and pets should not climb, hang from, pull on, or play inside furniture.
Weight Limits
Do not exceed a product’s stated weight limit.
Distribute weight evenly and place heavier objects on lower shelves when appropriate. Do not sit or stand on furniture unless the product is specifically designed for that purpose.
Placement
Place furniture on a level, stable surface.
Keep products away from excessive moisture, direct heat, open flames, and prolonged direct sunlight unless the product is specifically designed for those conditions.
Protect flooring when moving furniture. Lift furniture with appropriate assistance rather than dragging it.
Glass, Ceramic, and Decorative Products
Handle glass, ceramic, mirrors, sculptures, and desktop decorations carefully.
Discontinue use if an item becomes cracked, chipped, unstable, or otherwise unsafe. Broken decorative products should be handled and discarded using appropriate protective measures.
Small decorative components should be kept away from young children and pets.
General Cleaning
Follow the product-specific care instructions where supplied.
Unless otherwise stated:

Dust with a clean, soft cloth;

Wipe spills promptly;

Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals;
-
Do not soak wood, composite wood, fabric, or metal components;
-
Test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first;
-
Use coasters, pads, or protective mats where appropriate.
Natural Materials
Wood, stone, ceramic, fabric, and other natural or handcrafted materials may vary in grain, texture, pattern, shade, or finish.
These reasonable variations contribute to the individual appearance of the product and are not automatically manufacturing defects.
Periodic Inspection
Periodically inspect assembled furniture for loose fasteners, movement, instability, damage, or wear.
Retighten appropriate fasteners according to the instructions. Stop using the product if it becomes unstable or unsafe.
Damage Caused by Improper Use
Damage caused by incorrect assembly, unsuitable tools, unauthorized modification, improper cleaning, excessive weight, impact, environmental exposure, or failure to use recommended safety hardware is not considered a shipping or manufacturing defect.
